How do we know which one of these two words to use when both of them seem to fit?

"Also" usually comes in the middle of a sentence.

Ex: "Brian likes rap, but he also likes country."

"Too" typically comes at the end of a phrase.

Ex: "Brian likes rap and country, too."

Both have equivalent meanings, but are just placed differently. Using one over the other makes no difference in most conversations.

Nothing, they both mean the same, they are both interchangeable, that is why the both seem to fit, they do.

There must be another difference, but as far as I know, "ALSO" goes at the beginning, and "TOO" at the end of a sentence :)
