That isnt a problem.

If it is a digital camera which i assume it is then simply plug in your camera via USB an then your computer will recognise a new USB drive.

Then go to MY COMPUTER and you should see your camera in with your hard drives. It will be called "Removable Disk"

Click on this and browse to the folder with all the pictures in it.

Last but not least either drag and drop onto your computer or highlight and copy them.

Hope this helps.

Simple. First check out the website of the camera maker. You may be able to get software there, or order a replacement CD. This gets you all the software that came with it. Second, if a USB device, plug it in and see what happens. Windows 98 may need a driver, but every version of WIndoze after 98 should see it as a "mass storage device" or a thumb or flash drive. In the "My Computer" window, you may see it as another disk drive with removable media. I picked up a really nice Olympus digital camera at a swap meet because the guy had lost the CD. I was able to access it as a disk drive after only a few minutes to find a driver for my Windoze 98 laptop. I can't take live pictures like I could if I had the original CD, but still, I can transfer the pictures from the camera to my local hard disk and manipulate them. I do not need to use this camera as a webcam, so treating it ;like a simple storage device is all I need. So, I got a $250 camera (retail price 2 years ago) for $5... the guy just didn't know what he was selling. All I did was buy batteries and a cheap memory card and 15 minutes later had a driver and the camera up and running. By the way, a $10 card on sale from Riteaid means the camera can now take over 300 high quality pictures, more if I select a lower quality. I think it topped out at 1300 of VGA (640x480) quality...

You could try plugging it into the computer and entering the 'my computer' section. It should come up as an external storage system. Then double click on it and open it up as a normal file. This will only work, however, if you already have a picture reader program on your system.

Failing that, download the driver from the web site
