I just recently got my annual 3 month shot on the Sept 13th. I was on my period at the time. Ever since then I've been doing nothing, but spotting blood? It'll stop for like a day or 2 then start back up again. I spot, but a few times when I go to the bathroom, I noticed small clots coming out. Is this normal? I would set up a pap, but it won't do any good because they can't do the pap while a girl is on her period or even spotting...

Yup, its normal.

A lot of women have horrible side affects on the shot. I was on it for four years myself and am glad I'm off of it.

Some women bleed for months, some have periods lasting weeks, and some don't bleed at all.

Did you know that you need a bone density check after five years of being on the shot as it royally screws with your bone health?

Please look into getting off of it...

I agree with the other answer, look into to getting off of the shot.
Some of it's side affects can be pretty hardcore.
I gained 20 pounds and was pretty much depressed the whole time I was on it....
Oh and yes that is normal.
