Would a whole lot more information then just the file size to determine if it is something you need. If it is located within the C:\winodws directory somewhere, odds are you need it as those are the files for running Windows itself.

If it is outside of c:\winodws, then it controls either an add-on hardware or is part of a software program. If removed, one of those two will probably stop functioning properly. The directory in which the file is located may give you a clue what hardware/software is controlled by it. That wll let you decide if it is something you can live without.

But generally, you do not want to delete drivers from your computer. Plus that one is so small (less then 1 MB) that the amount of space it would free is probably less then 1/100th of 1% of your hard drive. Not worth the effort or risk to delete it.

980KB won't make a big difference is you are trying to free some space. If so, you need to identify the biggest files in your hard disk and delete them if you don' longer need them. I use these two free tools from www.download.com: Folder Size 2.3 and Space Monger.

If you still want to delete this driver, try this. Rename it as something_old, reboot your computer and if everything is fine, then it is safe to delete it.
