An internal hard disk is inside of your case and a USB hard disk is outside of the case (usually) and plugged into a USB port. An internal disk is faster, but a USB disk is more easily portable.

An internal drive is what the system boots from on power up. Have not heard of any units that will boot from USB. You can take just about any internal hard drive and put it in a USB drive case and use it as additional storage and data backup.
There are USB pen devices, some very large, that are a memory chip that can be used to store data and some programs for loading on a system. Can be very useful and inexpensive for important data backup.

The internal hard disk is the hard drive inside your computer. A USB hard disk is a hard drive that you connect externally. It plugs in to one of your USB ports on the computer.

Good luck!

No real deference, but depends on the type USB may be slightly slower and will need more table space, may need a splitter. You can buy a box with six female connectors.

For Internal you will need the slot unused. Takes skill to install things, or have it installed.

Go for Internal, will make life much easier, the equipment is slightly cheaper also.

Internal hard disk is which what we install it inside your cpu, it can be either IDE harddisk or Sata harddisk, probably the size of the harddisk is 3.5 inch. Usually you don't move the harddisk around everywhere. For USB harddisk, it is consider portable, most of the people just bought a hard disk which is 2.5 inch or 3.5 inch size, and with a external casing, it will become portable which u can carry around the world!

Well the most glaring difference is that one is internal and connected via an IDE/SATA interface while the other is connected via an external USB interface. Not all motherboards support booting from USB drives so if that is your intention check first. If quickly removable and relocatable storage appeals to you then USB is the way to go.

an internal hard disk is inside your computer.
a usb hard disk is portable and hooks up outside your computer.

inside your usb hard disk shell there is either a laptop hard drive or even a regular hard drive.
they just have an adapter on them which lets you hook them up using USB. so the actual drive isnt any different. they are normal drives with adapters.

The mechanism that reads and writes data on a hard disk. Hard disk drives (HDDs) for PCs generally have seek times of about 12 milliseconds or less. Many disk drives improve their performance through a technique called caching. There are several interface standards for passing data between a hard disk and a computer. The most common are IDE and SCSI.

if you are in need of a large data storage i.e > 10gb use an external hard disk to store them

huge data on internal hard disc take long loading time at start / and system response gets slowed.
