I just saw a list of the names of the eleven Longhorns who have gotten in trouble with the law since 2006. Last Monday, another freshman adds his name to the list. Coach Mack Brown is long suffering, which is both a strength and a weakness. Kansas State scored over sixty points against their last opponent. They have been a spoiler for both Texas and OU. If Texas can gel and stay out of trouble, they have a good chance against Kansas. They have raw talent, but that means absolutely nothing if the chemistry of the team is absent.

The only thing Oklahoma has over Texas is uniformity, which accounts for a lot. Distratctions are always a minus in any sport.

Coach Brown is a compassionate man by nature. Some do not like his approach as a coach, but I really admire him. I definitely would not want a live wire like the Oklahoma State's coach. He acts as if he is two tacos short of a Fiesta Platter.

Let's just say I hope they perform. I do believe they will. I think they want revenge for last years game v KSU b/c we all know KSU won b/c of trick plays and our QB was hurt. Our QB will be healthy and Austin will be rocking. Yes, KSU may have scored 60+ points just like OU, but have they played against a good defense. We have to win this game b/c right now OU is looking way better than us. KSU will be a close game like 27-24 but UT will win. Hook em.

I think you're being a "homer".

When the same things happened back in the '80s at OU, Barry Switzer wasn't praised for being a "long-suffering, player's coach..." He was vilified for having slack discipline and for losing control-- and for having recruited shady players to begin with...

Mack Brown is responsible for the players' misbehavior and deserves to be fired, just like Switzer deserved what he got.

Now, about the idea that the Sooners and Longhorns are evenly matched--I say look again. Has Texas outscored its opponents by 50 or more points per game? I think Stoops has your number this year...

Finally- I'd be proud to have OSU's coach on my side. Do you know what its like to have someone REALLY stand up for you in public? Plenty of people would just leave you out there to deal with the press attack with no support. He's a REAL "player's coach"

Sorry, but the Longhorns will get bar-b-qued when they play Oklahoma. They will probably have to change their name from the Longhorns to the Shorthorns.
