If I wanted to build a car just like K.I.T.T. from "Knight Rider", what resources would you recommend?

If you wanted it to work. It would be an extremely extensive operation. Would need a computer engineer and an extremely good tech or auto engineer. Plus I don't even know if computers are capeable of the verbal communication that it was supposed to be doing.

First responder is mostly right, but failed to acknowledge the kit car market.
Go through a good magazine rack (or two or three) and find the magazine dedicated to the kit car market, OR look it up online. I have seen at least one KITT kit. The kit will make everything as seamless as possible.

1) Buy a Trans Am
2) Go to autozone and get the flashing red light they have there for $20
3) Get your friend hooked up by speaker phone to act like he's the car talking to you.

Good luck. 1 and 2 are easy. Finding a friend is hard.
