Just keep pushing and maintain your dignity.

Civil rights take a long time to achieve- look at women's suffrage/feminism and civil rights for minorities races as examples.

More of us straights support your rights than you would think from the online morons.

Education! The more people are educated as to the inequality, the prejudice, the discrimination, the oppression that exists (and it's negative impact on society)- the more I think people will wake up and do something to help right these wrongs. I think that it would help further the cause if people could learn to see these issues as human issues (not just "gay" issues), because many seem to think that inequality is something only those who are discriminated against and oppressed should have to "do something" about. They miss the idea that it's an issue that was created by society, and that it will take the efforts of society (as a whole) to resolve it.

the first and foremost requisite is not to feel guilty over unusual sex relations. These relations though unusual are between consenting individuals who have every right to have their way. there is not so much trouble from others as own feeling of guilt. also when facing opposition, should show courage to say that it is nobody'susiness to interfere with the relations of two persons irrespective of their being gay, lesbian or bisexual or anything as long as others are not put to inconvenience.

Voting a gay couple into the positions of the Presidency and Vice Presidency. Curious that seeing as how we don't legally recognize gay mariage in this country, this could be a distinct possibility and no one could do anything about it! HA!

Some vary loud and boisterious demonstrations to scare the s*** out of a few politicians. That's what worked when I was young. Scare the crap out of them, then say, "Now that we have your attention we need to talk."
