A Christmas Carol with Alastair Sim as Scrooge.
This film also has, to me, the most moving line spoken in any film in the scene where Scrooge turns up to the Christmas party and begs forgiveness for his past.
Alastair Sim spoke his words absolutely spot on.
A close second is "It's a Wonderful Life" with my all time favourite actor James Stewart. Simply superb!

My top pick... "Little Lord Fauntleroy" starring Alec Guiness (yes, Obi Wan Kenobi from Star Wars) and Ricky Schroeder (from the old TV show Silver Spoons, and now known as Rick Schroeder and recently was a detective in NYPD Blue... I think) But that Christmas movie is always a tearful ending. If you haven't seen it, see it. Great for kids! Loads of great humility and good family/human values in there.
