I highly suggest you communicate with the buyer and with eBay. You may also go here for further information on the processes and how you handle your side of things.

eBay is fair and does work with both parties to try and resolve matters.

As it was not insured and it happened whilst in the post. the buyer needs to speaking to their local post office. Once it is out of your hands it is then not your responsiblity. If it had a hole in the bag, well doesnt that say something. Did you offer insurance for the Item? Its your word against theirs. Check their rating are they genuine? If you can prove that you sent it, such as your receipt. this will show that weight etc. Keep communicating with this person until it can be resolved, but also keep all emails and messages that were sent for your own security. Good luck

The complaint should be referred to the carrier which you used. You should also be careful that the buyer is not trying to scam you, that make a false claim. How will he prove that he did not get the item?

You have the tracking number, so please keep it! If the buyer chose not to have the package insured then that is the buyer's problem. Provide ebay with the tracking number.

Good luck!
