than iran will get the full backing of russia as america had backed afganistan while fighting against russia
so if war starts then there will be no end to it

It is not in Russia's national interest to support militarily radical Muslim regimes. However, it is in Russia's interest to stay neutral, but say a few things cursing at the bad Western powers in order to make a buck selling technology and materials in the rebuilding of Iran after it gets its butt kicked.

Israel will Finnish them off first,quickly no one can do anything,,,if Iran launches missiles America will counter with massive air and missile attack,,problem will not cause a world war,,,Russia can do nothing but cut off a few oil pipelines and lose money big time,,,if Iran has a Russian nuclear bomb and uses it Russia would be cut off from the world and America would counter strike,,+=starvation and sorrow for many Russians and death to the Iranians...other than that I don't see a problem,,,,,chow

Iran should not count on the backing of the Russians. They are no longer a Superpower. Besides the USA backed a war against the USSR not Russia. Russia would not want to risk its economic revival on a war with the US.
I am a former US Marine; I can tell my we LOVE martyrs, they are so eager to die and we are so eager to kill them. They make our numbers look so sweet. If you want to go to heaven and sleep with 72 little girls or whatever I am sure there is a US Marine, Soldier or Sailor who is willing to help you get there; your family, friends, livestock, land and mosques as well. We would not want you to get lonely.

1.) Imadinnerjob is a nutjob -- he's in the same camp as Bush and the other end-of-world idiots, who care less about God's children than they do about "fulfilling" what they think is God's plan.

If that happens the Russians won't do anything..the are a 4th world power militarily now and don't want to tangle with the US. Remember these are the same guys who fled Afganistan after years of combat...we took Afganistan over in a few weeks. Their military is still primarily made up of conscripts, dopers and drunks.

Saddam Hussein talked a lot before he got his butt kicked, twice. The Russians are now busy drooling over the oil under the Arctic ice cap. They don't have any interest in defending Iran. Russia has it's own problems with muslim crazies.

no one will be so dumb to land invade that country. the americans would bomb the Iran from the "nuclear age" back to the "stone" age within two weeks, that would be too quick for russians to deploy their covert support. war will be over before their military help will arrive.
btw, I can't remembre the country that was so fed up with Saddam's Iraq but was not able to get rid of it for two decades.. aint' that Iran, my friend?
Iran even had to steal the Iraqi aircraft who fled during the first war in the Gulf...they might were too quick for the Irani air defense to react and shoot them down.

Also some of the Iranians may dislike their government but it isn't as much as Americans hate theirs.
