Anyone who asks you this is looking for a weapon against you. Or are wondering if you are experienced enough to judge them, they may be inscecure or even perhaps a vergin???? Noone has the right to ask you this, nor does it matter, they didn't ask if you were ever in love did they. I use to be honest, then I hiked the number to some wacked out number and said "how you like me now" (hee hee) But I think the best answer might be. Baby, I have been waiting for you my whole life. Or some cheezy humerous charm like that. It's even funnier if you have kids.

I have never been honest, that type of question ~ ~ ~ the answer will be the only thing remembered. And will usually come back to bite you, when the time is appropriate.

Yes, I would be honest.
But that's a question I would never ask someone, because however many it is, it's going to be too many. It's not a nice thought knowing that someone else has been with your missus, best not to ask.

It's my private life and it's nones business.
I'm not ashamed for what I've done in my life, I just don't see what it would matter to my current partner.
Besides I hate being interrogated for personal matters in general.

I told my last one too many or about 20?(I didn't keep track after 10-& am thankful I've been disease free/H.I.V. free,etc.-yes I was a freak back in them days.
