I was just watching a few videos on yahoo, of people being scared and nearly all of them cover their ears. I wonder why that is?!

well usually i see this happen when someone is watching a scary/horror movie as its the soundtrack or the background noises that adds to the scary effect of the movie .. thus when you cover your ears it wont seem so scary

The horror almost vanishes if you are not listening the accompanying sound.
