Ok, just so i can get a rough idea of which name the majority of you like best, i want to ask you:
WOMEN/GIRLS: If Kathryn and Emma were the only two names in the world, and you HAD to be called ONE of them, which would you choose??
MEN/BOYS: If you had just seen the most beautiful newborn baby girl, and she was yours and you loved her sooo much, and Kathryn and Emma were the only two names in the world, and you HAD to pick ONE of them for her, which would you choose??

Any feedback is very much apprechiated and all opinions on why/why not you'd choose one of these names or why/why not you like the one you picked or disliked the one you didn't pick are all accepted, thank you very much people! =) xx

Kathryn, definitely.

Emma is a beautiful name, but I'd need an extra set of digits to count up all the little girl Emmas that I know.

Kathryn - especially if you call her Kate, and even if you use the full name - may sometimes get confused with the many Katelyns and Kaylas out there, but in the end, her name will have a classic elegance that the trendier names lack.

The Kathryn spelling is fine, but my first choice is always Katharine - as in Hepburn. Fabulous role model.

I love Emma! It is one that is a classic, but never really had a time when it was huge so it is timeless. Kathryn was huge in the late 70s until the early 90s. Emma brings to mind a little girl all soft and warm with a perfect complexion and that fresh clean baby smell wearing a little pink satin dress and a white sweater with a little pink bow in her hair and naked little toes wiggling. I know that is not grammatically correct, but so what. When I saw the name Emma I just had the most wonderful of visions.
EMMA!!!!

These are both great names. I would prefer Kathryn to call myself, because Kathryn sounds as stronger and more independent woman than Emma. Emma sounds like some tender girl, who needs protection. Kathryn is girl who can handle life herself.

Emily and Catherine are better IMO

But I guess I'd pick Emma because the spelling you chose for Kathryn is not very pretty IMO.

They are both fine names, but Emma is quite popular at the moment. Despite the popularity, I still like it.

I'd choose Kathryn. It's not something I hear as often on young girls/babies nowadays. It's classic and there are many great nickname options if desired: Kat, Kate, Katie, Kathy, etc.
