If you mean Match Game it was Gene Rayburn. I loved it. I didn't understand all the inuendos when it first aired, but when I was older and the Game Show Channel started showing it, I understood all the humor.

I remember Gene Rayburn trying to comment on a lady's dimples and he said "doesn't she have lovely nipples". She was so embarrassed.

Do you mean Match Game?

If you do, it was Richard Dawson, who formerly costarred in Hogan's Heroes.

EDIT: Sorry. Dawson stands out for me, but he only hosted a few times. The poster below has it mostly right; Gene Rayburn did host most of the segments but not all of them.

BTW: Charles Nelson Reilly is the correct spelling, as is Richard Dawson. Jamie Farr is correct.

Maybe I should do some research to find out if my memory is playing tricks with me, which wouldn't be surprising. Am I imagining seeing Dawson as host?

The host's name for the game show "The Match Game" was the late Gene Rayburn.

EDIT: I think the first answerer's confusion stems from Richard Dawson hosting the "Family Feud" gameshow for many years.
