Yeah but not even parties just like if i went to a friends house for the day or a sleepover or anything really.
You are in their house, they most likely fed you a meal and put themselves out for you so i think its just the right thing to do. This was how i was brought up so it just seems normal to me...
My mum also never sent me anywhere without taking something as well. Even if it was a cake or something to drink. I looked a bit stupid walking down the street with a bottle of soft drink but i would still teach my kids that.
I also helped clean up. I hated it when friends came over and we played with my Barbi's and then they left and i had to clean it all up so i always put everything i used away before i left someone's house.

Yes I was taught to do this, I taught my children to do this, I now live in Spain and they don't do this. It's polite to say Hola and Adios but its not necessary to say thank you. Our constant thank you isn't normal for the Spanish. I think it's a British thing.

Well how people raised children years ago and how people raise children now are about as different as black and white. Most adults today dont say thank you when they leave why would their children?

I can't remember if I said it.
My children do,and their friends do. It this day and age,I choose who gets to come back to my house for a second visit. That includes the friends of my kids.

My parents taught me to grab a roll and stuff my pocket. I don't have kids, but I plan on teaching them to rob their hosts as well. I think the world needs more violence and we could also use more sausage.

I certainly was, and I certainly have.
My daughter wouldn't dare leave anywhere without thanking the people that invited her, shame about most of the other kids though!!
