Plants store chemical energy in biological compounds that is harvested by making light excite certain antenna complexes within the plant pigment. So the resulting potential energy is of a chemical nature, resulting from a conversion from Light. Light energy is refered to as a photon.
Kinetic energy is energy from movement. Heat energy is produced from every other type of energy flow or motion- it is sort of always "there."

Batteries store electrical potential chemically- the circuit is completed when charge can flow freely between the two substances.
A fan is a device which converts electrical energy to movement (kinetic energy) by way of magnetism.
A dynamo (or a generator) creates electrical energy from kinetic energy via magnetism (the opposite of a fan).
Turbine- generally connected to a dynamo, it produces kinetic energy from some other force or movement.
Toasters produce heat from electricity by purposefully making the wires heat up and glow.
Elevators move up and down (kinetic energy) after you plug them in (electrical energy).
An iron is rather like a toaster, except it doesn't burn clothes (with any luck).
A bell is mechanical to mechanical (with heat escaping).
A clock is another mechanical device which can be run on electricity (chemical or electrical), or water potential or sand (mechanical energy), or heat. Clocks through history have been interesting.
A drill is another kinetic device which could be powered kinetically or electrically (or chemically).
A gear is a kinetic to kinetic device.

Ok, start with C. What aspect of potatoes allow them to turn blackish (or blue, here) when exposed to iodine? That substance is a polysaccharide (which should answer B). After that, A should be elementary.

chem to elec=battery

elec to motion =fan, motor, elevator
motion to elec=dynamo
So the entire answer would be: B

A=oxygen, the 2 products are sugar and oxygen

B=sugar, excess sugar can be stored as starch

C=starch gives a blue iodine test
