Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego
First console game I remember playing is Super Mario Bros. at a friend's house. To this day I have never gotten past 1-2 :(

Wow, the flashbacks, lol.
As I read your question, I instantly thought of a game my brother, cousins and I used to play called 'Red Letter'. I think, rom memory, it was basically a version 'Mr Wolf' but you had to guess letters. If they were correct, you got to move forward one step. Or something. Another one which we played in primary school was British Bulldog (which was baned shortly after, lol) and Kiss Chasey.
Oh and the first 'computer' games were Donkey Kong (little hand held electronic game) and our Atari something or other.

Road race on the Vic-20 (a black screen with little white marks showing the edge of the road, but it was cool.)
My dad bought the Vic home, set it up and me and my brother beat each other up trying to have a go..... good times.
