When the Uvula (soft material in the throat) vibrates with breathing, it makes the sound that we call snoring. If someone is over weight, they usually snore louder than others because of the size (fat) of the Uvula. I am a very small person but had my Uvula "down sized" through surgery. Before the operation, my snore was louder than any man. Now, I hardly make a sound when I sleep. My boyfriend actually puts his hand on my body to make sure I'm still breathing. And, I must say that the sleep I do get now is so much better than before the surgery.

For the same reasons the wife snores. The soft tissue in the back of the throat needs to be surgically trimmed. If not done this leads to sleep apnea. Which in some cases causes death.

Well I snore! As a matter of fact I'm typing this right now because my SO sent me to the other bedroom so she could sleep. Now I can't.... and it's 1AM here.
We can't help it, at least I can't, I've tried everything.
Some help but nothing helps some nights.

My mother snores louder than my dad. It was quite the symphony when I used to live with them.

It could be several reason. Tired, maybe a health reason, too much too drink,sinus issue, women snore also,and it could be for a number of reason.(Long day at work,stress,just a long day.

Maybe if you did you wifey duties rather than read that book, he wouldn't be snoring out of frustration.
