Not calling the guy a bad person. Am pointing out how twisted the neo-cons thinking is when defending a defenseless position.

citizenvnfla (below) LOL I've had to quote this oath on three occassions; once for the Air Force (active duty), once for the Air Force Reserves; and once for a federal government agency which I left in 2000.

Michele C (below) Great song and dance. However, the core retort of the neo-con was "Do you really think the military's job is protecting a piece of paper?"
According to the oath, their core function IS to protect the Constitution. Keep dancing though. Good exersise.

Even the president called it a god-forsaken piece of paper. The neocon was just being a good Bush follower.

I finally get it. Man it's like a huge light just came on. You commucrats hate the military because of the Military Oath. With the key words in it like "Defend" which refers to fighting not handing over millions of dollars and hoping they will not hurt you, "United States" which really means America and we all know how much demoncrats hate anything to do with America, "True Faith" now there's two words that could gag any commucrat to the point of passing out, and last but most important "Allegiance" if only America were a communist nation all you little commy demoncrats would have a place to call their true home.

Ooh,, con,,,is that a new insulting term? Technicially speaking the constitution is a piece of paper ,actually several. The flag is material hung on a pole. It is the people that that flag and that constitution are meant to represent that should be the focus. Constitution contains words written by men that can always be AMENDED. It is not set in stone, so I can see ones point. The principles within it are vital but everchanging. And when we worship the paper instead of people, we are headed for trouble.

since you have to label people I hope you don't mind me calling YOU a neo commie....now with that said, I have no idea why someone would refer to one of the greatest documents in all time as just a piece of paper...its a piece of paper that assures his freedom and it pretty much being riped apart from a congress that is doing everything it can to abolish my constitutional right to bear arms, my right to free speech with the "fairness doctrine" ...why are you neo commies doing that??

Neocons hate the constitution. They like to cherry pick the few things that they agree with in that document. They make me want to hurl, and often times I do.
