I think people talk more about negative things in life than positive. I've been married 33 years and dated the same gal since she was 15. Known her a total of 37 years now.
Life hasn't been all love and kisses and we have had our bad times. We've been blessed by a lot of things including 2 great kids. I don't know the secret to a successful marriage but apparently ours is working. Love goes through a lot of different stages. When you get to your mid 50's it is very different from when you were 21.
If I ever thought I had a guaranteed way of happy marriages, I'd print it out for everyone. Maybe I'm just lucky.
About half the marriages fail so you can see the other half apparently are doing ok.

It's not just marriage that causes those problems.
You can have those problems in any relationship;
marriage, friends, your significant others, family.
Just try to get through all problems in life the best you can. And feel blessed with the good things that happen to you.
I wish you well.

they get married because they are in love and what they see are roses not the thorns. yet, as they remain married longer, the thorns will hit them - ouch!
so, it's up to the couple's degree of love and commitment to test the marriage. some see thorns as a maturity and came to accept it, some see them as pain and leave the marriage.

Being married is fantastic. It's great to meet the person you want to annoy for the rest of your life.
