The person I loved, I've always lost them due to circumstances beyond my control... and oftentimes I find myself regretting about the last words I said to them... If only I knew it was the last time I was going to speak to them...

I would say "thank you for being a part of my life" and then just look them in the eye. I hope I never have to do this.

I would tell them how much I loved them and not to mourn for me to long. To go on with their life and be Happy because that is what I would want for them.
Ah you was saying if it was the other person..
Well it did happen, my daughter died and I held her in my arms. I told her I loved her and that it was ok to go, that we would be together again. (she died from cancer in 1990)
