I have applied for college and I have to take an enterance test which includes math.
I am SOOOO bad at math and I mean REALLY bad at math. I am sort of lucky I can add and subtract.
I want to ask, what is the best way for me to study.? I have just a few weeks to get ready. I am not worried about any other part of the test, just the math part.

I haven't thought to ask if I can use a calculator. that will help a lot.
I am not in high school an dhave been out of school for almost 20 years.

I too, am horrible at math, but my uni allows me to use a calculator in the idea that if you know HOW to do the problem, not being able to do calculations in your head shouldn't stop you.
So, can you use a calculator on the entrance exam? I would ask.
If you can, then make sure you understand the basics to math and geometry, algebra would be good too- I don't know what the exam covers, so I'm guessing. ...Another thing you should ask.
Once you ask about the examination rules and possible range of material, you will have a better idea what to prepare for. If all else fails, try to get really GOOD at doing math on paper and really fast. Good Luck to you!

I have been terrible at math for most of my life, that isn't a gene I think I inherited. But, I don't know what your financial situation is but, I would consider one of the following for a re-introduction to math for college depending on your degree you may see a lot more of it than you may want to
1) Go through the phone book and look for tudors or
a learning center, by the way, they don't just tudor
children anymore.
2) If you can't afford a learning center try a private tudor or
3) If you can't afford this, try to post something local or at
your college campus bulletin board, there is always
some current college student who is brilliant in math but
somehow not great with living on a limited budget.
4) Or if you know of someone, whether family, friend or co
worker whom you wouldn't mind to confide in that you
need a brush up see if they will be willing to tudor or at
least help you study.
5) Or go to a used bookstore & try to find as much material
as you can possibly read on college math relating to
college entrance exams.
6) If you can't do any of these try to find one of those video
tudor cd/dvd, example...Dr. Math.
Good Luck!!! Hope this helps!

i might merely multiply by employing 4 because of the fact 25% skill a million/4. 12 x 4 = 40 8 answer: 40 8 pupils yet in any different case to try this may well be: 12 is 25% of what? 12 = 25/one hundred * x 12 = (a million/4)x 4(12) = 4(a million/4)x 40 8 = x

well, you will be able to use a calculator on most or possibly even all of it. But it won't be a graphing calculator or anything fancy. Know basic multiplication, division, fractions. Study up on algebra, geometry. Depending on how well you want to do and if you have ever taken it, study up on calculus, or at least pre-calculus (advanced algebra).
Good luck!

There are books on college enterance tests and how to study for them. Check with your guidance office (assuming you are in a high school).

you also might want to hire a tutor for the entrance exam... Most schools will offer a tutor or you can ask an upper year student who had to take the exam to prep you for it

i would just study math 11/12. know functions, and trigonometry, and algebra.
it also depends on what your taking. if you are going into sciences... study some light calculus too... but if you are going into trades... just algebra and trig
