naked (below) states:

"Wow! Chi Guy's on a role tonight. Can you say obfuscation? Counter insurgency is not the job of Police, not here and not there. Do you really think the military's job is protecting a piece of paper? Or maybe our job is to take the fight to the enemies of democracy and freedom?"

Answer: Yes. Their job is defending that "piece of paper".

naked (below) I'm hopeful that you didn't mean this the way it sounds. I'm certain that it wasn't worded in the best of ways as I am certain that anyone, including myself, can always not word something the right way.

The leaders overestimated the Iraqi police force.

I think that it is a good thing that America is fighting against the terrorism.

I believe that you are a Jehovah's Witness, and your hatred for the government is overwhelming. I cannot see that people like you would do anything to serve the country. You can honor God without turning back on your own country.

Kevw25 gave a very valuable sight, he is right. I rather have the fighting happening in their area. Did you already forget 9/11?

So I guess oil abroad = American interests, which allows us to go to war to protect our oil interests. What a sorry and easy lot we are. We allowed this idiot in the white house to actually pull a who's on first on us.

LMAO!

Plainly put, they aren't.

They are in Iraq to protect our interests abroad and that directly corresponds to our interests at home, which includes our right to continue leaving peacefully under our current constitution.
