Most of the time, yes. I'm very adaptable. I have an ability to 'fit in' with the immediate situation. For instance, when I spotted a friend from Wigan, with whom I wanted to speak, on the high street in Berne, Switzerland, I called, 'Eyup'. knowing that he would immediately react to his native dialect.
In a flat on the outskirts of Mumbai I eat my food with my fingers, and in parts of Eastern Turkey I have a reputation for being the most 'understanding' west European who has visited them.
I also have the ability to make people laugh, even when the situation is no laughing matter.
However, I can be very unfriendly. Personally tolerant to a fault, I am extremely intolerant of intolerance. It could be sexist, ageist (I'm no spring chicken), racial, ethnic or religious intolerance, but then I become aggressive. I once invited a young Turk to step outside, because he had overheard our conversation and came to our table saying, 'The only good Kurd is a dead Kurd.' It must have been a big shock for him, being asked to 'step outside' by an ageing woman.
I was, however able to make my point clear, although I'm sure I wasn't able to change his opinion.
I returned to my friends, none of whom were Kurds, and he came back and gave us the 'Grey Wolf' salute, which is the equivalent of the Nazi salute. I said to him, 'You don't need to do that, I've already understood. Now go away.'

yes, I like to think that I am. I have fun at work with happy people and the grumpy ones well that there is their problem. If I can't make them happy then OH WELL. I like to stay positive and I love when I can smile with other people. It makes life more happy. All you have to do is be nice and friendly and you will make someone you don't know and maybe never see again have a good day. smile and be nice

I think I am. But, I'm not outgoing; I'm very shy and easily embarrassed, often ill at ease.

When people are nice, I open up and begin talking to them, and they always seem to like me. When I go to Renaissance faires and other reenactment events, I'm much braver because I wear a costume (we call it garb). I suppose I have a nice smile and a pleasant-looking face, and people do tend to approach me.

I must admit that I can be rather reclusive at times, but I have made friends on the Net. So, I guess that's being "efriendly".

I am, but probably not as friendly as I was when I was younger... it's due to the fading patience I have for stupidity, so unfortunately to avoid those type, I've found that I'm not as openly friendly. It's sad really...
