Not necessarily. Many babies drop down into the pelvis several weeks before labor starts. I wouldn't worry unless you started having a lot of contractions or bloody, mucousy show.
But always call your doctor if you have questions or concerns that you want answered, even if it's just for reassurance. They know your pregnancy better than anyone.
And who is the troll who is giving out thumbs down for perfectly correct answers? Get a life! lol!

This was a question you should have asked your doctor, or at least the sonogram technician. Ask your doctor at your next appointment.
Sonograms weren't routinely given when I had my kids. However, at about 8-8½ months, as I recall, the baby "drops." That is when it begins to get into position for delivery. So I would say you are right on schedule. She may come a little early, but not too much so. You should both be fine. Good luck, and congratulations.

I wish it did. Pregnancy concerns can become a nightmare by the last trimester. We all get the what ifs. And we sure wish everything was text book. That way we could just relax knowing every when and why.
Being engaged (or just in the pelvic upside down) is a great sign that things are going normal for 35 weeks. But then you may wonder will he or she raise a little or will he or she ever drop lower.
Your exams will become weekly soon. Watch how you measure. Watch your weight change. Watch for increased Braxton Hicks. Watch for mucus change. Watch for Breast changes. These things will help you more in knowing how soon things will be,
I will say this is a wonderful thing coming down to the pelvic. Embrace it and get things ready. Write it down in your baby book. But it is still a guessing game
I am so happy for you having a sonogram at this stage. You got a great peek at your little one. Congrats to you and hope things go smoothly.

Baby can be engaged for a strecth of time.
There is no way to predict.
One good thing is that your body and baby are working on getting ahead of labor that some don't get to until closer to labor. If all is well it might mean a quicker labor. But, don't count on anything. Babies seem to have a mind of their own.
You due date is any time two weeks before or two weeks after the specific due date.
Both of my babies were 2 weeks early and one was 9 lbs and other close to that.
Hang in there the time will come soon. Enjoy

babies normally turn head down (head in pelvis) between 32 and 36 weeks - this mean your baby is right on time..nothing more or less..she will kinda float there for awhile.
When your baby drops..then you are getting closer to delivery
Good luck

Hmm it sounds like she is getting ready!!
That's how they do it, they "drop" to prepare your body for birth!!
Stay healthy!! U may find massage, get someone who's trained in pregnancy massage to be safe.
Massage can take the pressure off your back & legs for a break & can relax both u & baby!
