Some offices request that you not wear perfume because of employee sensitivities; others don't mind as long as it is discreet.

I am one of those perfume sensitive people. I really appreciate it when people leave their perfume at home.

Unless, you are really sensitive to fragrance, you do not realize how many "perfumes" you are already wearing.

Your shampoo and conditioner both have fragrance. Your hand lotion and facial make-up. Your laundry detergent and fabric softener. You clothes can also carry traces of any air freshener that you use in your home or car.

The left over stench from the spray used to remove "static cling" gives me an instant asthma attack.

My rule of thumb is this. If smoking is not allowed in the work space, then perfume should also be banned.

certainly, just make sure it's a light perfume, or a light body mist, not anything heavy and musky, keep that for evening. Even if other's can't smell it you can and it will give you a certain lift.

Use a light touch, don`t overwhelm the office crew, someone may be allergic. I for one, cannot stand Estee Lauder fragrances, they actually make me nauseous. Sorry, to those of u who like that brand, no offense meant.

I used to but I don't anymore. Too many people are sensitive to it. Also, you might pick the one perfume that reminds the boss or big client of his ex-wife, and then they'll hate you without knowing why.

Sure, but go lightly with it due to other people having allergy problems.
