I don't understand the question. Are you asking how one would stop time from moving by?

1.) Break every clock.
2.) Wait until the sun explodes. (It is a star, after all.)

I know that sounds incredibly strange, but I'm being serious. We judge time by our own little system of clocks and time zones, which was based on the sun's position in the sky.

Not thinking *does* sound like it would stop time. Time as you perceive it, at least.

It is definitely impossible to stop time running since "time and tide wait for no man", therefore, it is better and more practical to stop oneself for a second, a minute, a moment, etc. before doing things. Literally speaking, the time in question stops and one can concentrate upon what we need to do till it is finished. It is a matter of relativity.

The past is gone, it only exists in your mind. Same with the future, it hasn't happened yet. all we have i
s now . (where ever you are;be there). If we dwell in the now, we have no reference point to measure time (no distance between past or future). Now is all we have. Eternity is the forever now, where time does not exist.
Time is in the imagination of the beholder.
If time is running, chase it away and forget about it.(except when necessary to conform to planned time schedules)
If you are at peace with this answer, you will be happy about it. If you like it, then conflict and fear will be erased with time. God Bless You (Love make you happy) - [ literal translation].

The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all your Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line

May fourtune find you on the stage,
Or failing that in audience.
But be you dead, or home in bed
Make no pretense.
The show goes on.
