Have you ever did something so absent-mindedly that you had to laugh at yourself?

Have you ever tried, in vain, to put (an obvious) wrong cap on a jar, or lathered your face, while thing of an appointment, and started to shave... with your tooth brush. ...Looked disparately for something you just had your hands on, and finally found it...in the refrigerator? Have you had at least one event like this?...-lol

I went to a one week symposium at Georgetown. On the first morning I got up bright and early to beat the breakfast crowd. Down the hall, I noticed that my walking did not feel quite right, looked down and low and behold my shoes were different. I had a pump on one foot and a wedge heel on the other foot.
When I was young and in love, I slipped into my fiance's bathroom to grab my tooth brush to get rid of morning breath so I could awaken him with tender kisses; instead, I woke him up with a scream when I realized I was brushing my teeth with Ben Gay lineament. It was even more humiliating to hear the poison control people snickering while assuring me I would be okay....I could write a book about these types of experiences; I have definitely had a few.

Looked all over the house for my reading glasses. Mirror over the bathroom sink; went to wash my hands and there they were, on top of my head.

Washing dishes, lost the dishcloth. Found in the icebox.

Found a box of salt there once, too.

There's more, but I don't want to alert the guys in the white coats. :)

you mean like writing have you ever did when it should be have you done ? or absent-mindedly rather than absent -minded.gee, I guess you either study grammar or go accident prone the rest of your life .

I usually find the mental health section wandering towards me. Especially on buses.
