Well, we've changed direction at least twice in the 13 months that I've been here. I don't see why that's so difficult for some to understand.
I've only seen one bill sponsored by a democrat (Senator Jim Webb) that actually supports the troops, as they all claim to do. The bill called to have military personnel in the rear one day for every day they're deployed. I agree with that, but it failed.

You must have meant to ask "Has the politics of obstruction and smear won?"
Because that's all this is about.The GOP is obstructing the Senate from doing what the majority of Americans are wanting,and trying to use nonissues like moveon's ad to stay the course and shift the the decision to leave Iraq to the next President.
