I just started this job a few weeks ago and there's this guy there
that 's very friendly.Me and my co-worker whom is also a woman .he;ll come inand talk to us, he'll pretty much talk to everyone however I notice that he'll specifically ask me lunch"And he'll specfically ask me"What am I looking at on the computer"?And if I'm doing something else while he's talking to my co-worker, he will shake my chair, or tap my shoulder...and he's always asking me have yo been to this restauraunt"? Hvae you been to this place? He even asked me "What do I do after I leave from work"?Then today he asked me "If I had ever been backpacking in Europe"? passes me he always taps me on the shoulder? My question is his behavior strictly platonic or something more? On top of that he does have a girlfriend?

It sounds like sexual harassment to me. Touchy, feely is no longer allowed in most work places. If it makes you uncomfortable ask him to please not touch you. If he doesn't stop then tell your boss. This guy should be working more and taking less anyway.

the only way you can find out if he has a girlfriend is if you ask. can't hurt to do that.

you sound as if you're making an excuse to like this guy and are enjoying all the attention. you just met, get to know him first. maybe he does that to everyone who is new.

it may just be a way of being friendly for some guys are like that. Once he has someone, take it as a platonic friend unless you, deep down have cultivated feelings for him.

It seems like he never asked you to go out with him. If he does, tell him that you'd prefer that all three of you (he, his gf and you) go out together. If he is disappointed after such a suggestion, then his interest is not platonic.

He has a girlfriend, get your own man. You sound like you want someone to tell you it is alright, for you to go after that man.
