They 999 you when you post stuff from the same website too often for their liking, and I do believe this is automated. For example, I used to post the following link in all my Q and As, because on most websites I've been on it's generally customary to put a pertinent link. Mine makes me neither money nor someone else money (after all, my art is just a hobby . . . ) but they 999 me, and of course some people are just itching to violate anything they consider "spamming", even if has nothing to do with the sorts of malicious spam that's found all over the Internet.

I think it is because You Tube is getting a lot of attention, especially on television. ABC has a show named I Caught that shows a lot of You Tube pictures and videos.
