The whole number in front of the fraction (14) will also be the whole number in front of the decimal. So just changing 3/4 to a decimal - simply divide the top number (the numerator) by the bottom number (the denominator). the result is .75. So the final result is 14.75. Hope this helps. - I'm a mathematics teacher, so I know for sure this is correct.

14 is the whole number. So when you convert it into a whole number, it becomes 14 point something (14.--).

To get 3/4 into a decimal, divide top by bottom (numerator by denominator). So 3/4 = 0.75

Therefore, 14 3/4 = 0.75
