The Clay Mathematics Institute is offering million-dollar prizes for the solutions to each of seven famous unsolved mathematical problems.

Grigory Perelman is believed to have recently solved the Poincaré Conjecture, but he doesn't want the money.

Many mathematicians think that the unsolved "ABC conjecture" is more important than some of the seven Clay Institute problems.

There are certain classes of mathematical relationships that do not have closed form answers. They are usually solved by approximation methods like estimating or iteration. When I was in calc class eons ago, second order differential equations with non-constant coefficients was an example. There are many more with solutions being discovered daily.

Hate to be a stickler for grammer, but what you really want to know is what problems are still unclear to mathematicians. I don't what has happened NOW to change the situation.
