I was at school and a girl walks up to me. I know that she is a friend of the girl that I like. She then procedes to ask me out for this girl that I like, the girl that I like is acctually standing right behind, I think of her as "out of my league" but she didn't try to stop the girl asking me, I don't know if it was serious or some practical joke.

easy solution. go ask the girl who asked you out through her friend. if she says no, then you ask why she didn't do anything when her friend asked you. if she says yes, then there you go

sounds pretty serious i would call the girl up and ask her out myself if i were you that would end the thinking of a mistake or joke take care.
