What would you observe if a precipitate forms when you mix two solutions? Like how do you know a precipitate has formed (characteristics?). Thanks.

Also, what will you see if

a gas is released from the reaction mixture

and

if a colored component dissolves in water and reacts to form a colorless product?

Generally, your solution will become cloudy, and depending on the reaction rate and other factors, you may see something settling out of solution, either as a fine solid or a gelatinous mass or in big chunks. Then the solution will become clear again.

It'll be like sorta cloudy you might see some solids in the mixture
