Of course we have landed on Mars.
There are 2 rovers there right now (have been for 3 years). And then there was the Viking 1 and 2 rovers in 1975, and the Pathfinder rover in 1996.
This is not news.

No, but I saw the original TV show way back in 1977. I realised it was a joke about half way through. Very well done though. It was supposed to have been broadcast in England on 1 April 1977 but an industrial dispute delayed it and it did not go out until about June.
None of the "scientists" on it ever existed. It's a joke.
