hmm will im gonna comment on what Persiphone_Hellecat has said.
first off, im not asking ANYONE to write the story for me? like i said in my qustion.. im trying to come up with a good plot.. "where it takes place" is what i originally asked, but you say im stealing peoples ideas? i was asking where it could take place? the basics....i wasnt asking them to create characters.. create a story line.. but i guess going around yahoo running down qustions is what she likes to do. well.. w.e helps her sleep at night. x]

Well what draws me in is a Romeo Juliet type theme. I love the idea of forbidden love!

Hon if you want to write a story the key element to doing so is having a plot. Without one, you aren't the author of the story - someone else is. I find it hilarious that you say you want "something original" and yet you ask someone else for their ideas. How original is that? Like so many here, the truth is you have to face the facts. If you cannot think up a story, you cannot be an author. That is like saying you want to play third base for the Yankees, but you lack the skills so you want ARod to do it for you and send you his pay check. See? You aren't an author unless you can create stories. I cannot for the life of me figure out why people come here and just give their intellectual property away. You know my mother always said you get what you pay for. How good can a free idea be? There must be some reason these people are giving you the ideas instead of writing the story themselves. Probably because they know the idea isn't very good. Like the Iraqi woman and the US soldier. Guaranteed to be a best seller. So if so, why isn;t that person writing it? Because it has been done before. No author with a modicum of professionalism gives away ideas. Nor does an author with a modicum of professional ask total strangers for their ideas. That is pure amateur. There is a word in the publishing business for people who use the ideas of others. It is called a hack. Pax - C

A US soldier falls in love with a Muslim woman in Baghdad. It's a hot topic (and controversial). Sure to become the next New York Times best seller list.

Don't write from a political point of view. But approach the story from humanity point of view. Show how war has affected the live of ordinary people in Baghdad. It will touch the feeling of the readers.

Pop,

How long of one do you want? Happy ending or sad? Or is it that you want it all? The highs the lows, the young the old?

I'm saying this smiling so I don't want you to think I'm hatin' when I ask, "who's originality do you want- yours or someone else's?" ;)
