I think that Bertuzzi will be it. Hejduk and Gagne will put up better numbers this year as well.

Yeah, Hejduk and Gagne will be good, but Bertuzzi will never amount to anything, he's too mentally weak now. Another guy I hope for is Theodore, it's very unlikely but if he can be 85% of what he was when he won MVP, the Avs will be almost unstoppable. All that aside, I think the most improved player will by far be Jonathan Cheechoo. I don't know why he played bad last season, but I think with Thornton passing him the puck, Cheechoo is very capable of shooting 60 pucks into half-empty nets. He might score 60 this year.

I'm going to really go out on a limb...

Nikolai Zherdev - center, Columbus Blue Jackets

He's under new management (he and Doug MacClean did NOT see eye to eye), and new coaching (Hitchcock will whip him into shape), and is going to center the first line between Nash and Vyborny.

He recognizes that his performance last year greatly diminished his value, and that he has this one final chance to prove himself or go back to Russia.

Lots of candidates:
Gomez
Gagne
Kovalev
Hejduk (was on fire at end of last year)
obviously some others that other people have mentioned....not sure how everyone overlooked Gomez though

You never know what will happen. Comeback players come out of nowhere.
