ok nuff of this confusion. Listen up----turn on your emergency flashers, if brake lites don't flash the brake switch is defective. It is located on the master cylinder. should be obvious, two wires.

The bulbs for ur brakes have 2 wires in them,,one for tail lites, the other for brake lites, one can b workin and the other not,,so start with the bulbs,,,
that dont work,,take a test lite and check the sockets to c if its getting fire from the brakes when the peddle is pressed.
still dont work,,try this, use test lite to check the wires themselves and work ur way to the fuse box, located under the drivers side, test the fuses also.
still dont work hollar at me i have a honda book that i can send u more answers.

Replace the bulbs, they may work when the lights are on but not work when the brake is applied. The brake light switch may be bad as well. Don't confuse the brake sw with the cruse control sw. Good Luck and God Bless

how sure are you about the switch. it is 2 switches in one. if you take out the swith there are 4 pins. 2 small and 2 big. check continuity between the same size pins. on set should work with the switch out, the other when the switch is in. most likely casue.

use a 12 volt test light and have someone mash the brake pedal and see if your getting voltage back to the lights, you could have lost a ground wire or something, but if you can get power to light up the test light when someone mashes the pedal, then it might help you to narrow this one down, also be sure and double check the bulbs, they will look good ,and not be,run a separate power source to them and test them,if that don't work i dunno what to tell you, good luck.

i might give up driving it and have it repaird this might propose your existence or somebody elses.. in case you do the entire brake equipment your self front and rear rotors calipers pads the fluid the cost would be below 2 hundred for the areas.. ok.
