Holy Cow!!! The number #10 is worn on the sleeves of the jerseys in memory of Phil Rizzuto, who passed away in August 2007. This was the number worn by Rizzuto during his playing days as a Yankee and was retired by the Yankees in 1985.

The Scooter, Phil Rizzuto passed away recently. Holy Cow! we miss him. The black arm band is for Cory Liddle he died Oct 13, 2006 in a plane crash, he flew his small plane into a building, not on purpose.

well after reading i guess is for rizzuto but all season long i thought it was because of cory lidle
