The Secret Service has a mandate to investigate the backgrounds of every one who comes in close contact with such high ranking politicians. Could it be possible that the politician is a crook, just like her husband? After all, he also had some shady dealings.

rukidding: I stick with my original assertion that Bill is the real crook, and Hillary is just the dutiful wife. Remember the whole "Baking Cookies" thing? She's a Housewife with a NOW membership. Bill may have slipped up every now and then, but he was the one who originally agreed to use polling in politics.

Nahhh, come on! That's not fair! Don't call Bill a crook without including his wife. She's the mastermind of most of the shady dealings that they are capable of hiding and misleading the public. Look what happens every time Bill takes it out of his pants? Everybody finds out! Bill's one of those brilliant stupid people. Y'know, they get great marks in school, or while illegally protesting his country's war in a foreign land, but when it comes to getting out of the rain, he gets confused.
I just hope that Norm comes to realize that 30 years in prison is an awfully long time and trades lots of info, and his phone book, for a deal. Now THAT will be some fun, eh? Maybe right before the November elections....perfect timing!

This is a total crock. Norman Hsu DIDN'T get close to the Clintons, if you're talking about being a confidante and getting into their inner circles. He's certainly not a FOH or FOB, not like the Paul Begalas or James Carville types. He's just a publicity-seeking hound who wanted the high visibility for his own business objectives, which are shady (swindled some folks out here in CA in a Ponzi scheme). Hardly a power broker at all.
What Hsu does or did reflects little on Hillary or Bill's own actions.

See the donor list spreadsheet below indicating amounts Hsu and teh Hochberg/Lillian Vernon connection gave certain (not all, just certain) democrats incluyding the Clinton's. Most people have forgotten the Bernie Schwarz/Loral espionage gave China the ability to rain down multiple warhead nukes on every inch of the USA via missiles (and knock out satellites), he's tied in with Hsu.

Their motto is "never look a gift horse in the mouth". Hillary is up to her neck in campaign funding funny business and so far has always managed to squeeze out of it. I would say she is crooked as a snake, but don't want to give snakes a bad name.
