I ran it over and it went kaboom... feathers flew and it just a flopped it's final flip!

Invite your neighbor over for dinner and try to break it to them slowly. Serve roasted chicken...

If the chicken wasn't on a leash then don't worry about it !! Pick up the chicken and put it under your neighbor's car and tomorrow when they back out they will think they did it !!!!!

Admit it and ask if you can make restitution, unless the thing ran in front of you and there was nothing you could do. Then it's on them to "keep livestock out of the right of way".

Clean off your car with a hose before it stinks. Then in the morning, go to your neighbor and apologise. Offer to pay for it perhaps. You really should tell them though.
