I recently bought a Spectra wi-fi card, but my dad doesn't know/approve. He runs a Windows XP with a basic linksys router. What are th possible ways that he could know I'm online/what I'm doing? Obviously excluding any $200+ software. I don't even want him to see that this IP address is on the network. Thanks!

Your dad wont beable to see what your doing as long as he has not put any spying software on your ipaq, but there is no way to hide your MAC address on the routers security logs stating that you connected to the router.

You had better hope your dad is not smart enough to figure out how to use MAC filtering on his router as that would stop you from connecting at all.

Whats your dads email? :))
