Sunglasses have nothing to do with winter or summer. They have to do with light sensitivity to brightness caused by the sun or any other object so that you can protect the pupil of the eye. In very cold Countries like Canada or states in the USA like Alaska and Michigan, sunglasses are worn in the winter to protect your eyes from 'snow blindness' which can cause you to actually go blind. So it is your preference and your eyes and how bad they do in bright sunlight or reflecting sunlight like the kind that glares on the snow.

I wear sunglasses year round, especially driving. It protects your eyes from forming cataracts and helps prevent wrinkles.
I am 51 and just started crow's feet the last few years.

All skaters need to sign waivers and wear helmets (there will be free loaner helmets available). The contests cover all ages, sponsored and unsponsored, with bowl, best trick, and highest ollie competitions. There will be raffles and other entertainment.
