I like living by myself, I once shared an apt. w/ a girl I grew up with & she brought her fiance along, they fought all the time. It was an unpleasant exp. said I'd never do it again.

It's all a matter of personalities. It can be very nice to share a meal, tv program, or hobby with someone else. And, to have someone just to talk about nothing with. But unless one is very easy-going there can be a 1000 areas where preferences clash....the temperature in the room, the other's standard of cleanliness, the other person bringing in visitors, pets, loudness of tv, bedtimes that clash, etc etc. If one is sensitive to all that sort of thing, they will be happier living alone and visiting friends instead of living with them. I have opted for going it alone..

If you ever get a roommate, make sure it's not with a really good friend. Because once you move in with each other, then you guys probably won't be good friends for long. That has happend to a lot of people I know.

I thought I wanted to live with people but I have come to realize I'm too anal about how things should be done, so I get on my friend's case when they are over. I guess I'm better off living on my own, the only reason I would want to have someone would be to my company. *I think the onyl for sure way to live with someone else would be if they were just like me, as to me opposties don't attract in my case, and I don't like outsiders who are opposed to everyhting thing I like; view etc.

I think I prefer being on my own. If the house was big enough, I probably wouldn't mind living with a friend, especially if I had an area that could be totally mine.

While I do enjoy the company, I like to hog the remote and computer. Take my time in the bathroom and shower. So I'm actually better off living alone.
