Many. Sometime it seems I spent more time in restaurants than at home.

Forty-two years ago a trip to Duluth Minnesota for a weekend honeymoon led us to have dinner at "The Flame" on a Lake Superior harbor. Maybe it still exists!

I remember when I was little and the whole family got along (and everyone was alive), we used to go to this all you could eat seafood restuarant.

There would be about 20 of us - my Mom, my brothers, great-grandparents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, . . . .

We would be there for hours and just spend some good quality family times.

I remember they had hush puppies, instead of rolls. I LOVED them.

Anyway, all of my grandparents are gone and my uncles have do both my grandparents and now my Mom dirty. So it is just my Mom and my 3 brothers left. Now we have weekend BBQ's every Sunday during the warm weather and we spend a LOT of time together - we are all VERY close.

I am hurt from the ones I have lost but I am thankful and cherish the ones I have here with me!!

I have a few but one I will share is a little hole in the wall looking place in Florida on the Gulf that had all you can eat crab legs for like $10.00! It was 24 years ago and I was there with 3 best girlfriends but I remember the tables and the wait staff came and sat with us, we laughed and ate and talked for hours. A great vacation memory!

no, a questionable one. when I was 7 1/2, I went to a Perkins pancake house and filled out a card that stated I could eat free on my birthday, which was 6 months away.

Incredibly, my gram took me there for my birthday and I remembered that I was supposed to get a free meal, but when your 8 years old, no one believes you.
and there was no record of my card.

ya-too many, I was forced on shift one night, sent home twice another along with several other crazy nights-(I was a dishwasher) Another night, a drunk was slamming some guys head into the wall trying to kill him, blood everywhere, (in the mens room), another night a drunk was passed out (face down) in his plate of hot food, along with other fights-(male & female). -Yes they have a cop on patrol every weekend.

Red Lobster..............Used to be "our" place. Good food, good service, great memories.

Years later, when he and I talked again, he'd say he never went back, cause it was "our" place.

Hate to blow his bubble, but I have been back many times.........since then.

Not going to give up my fav place!
