if you dropped out, it would help to go get your GED. after a few years, even if the one who has no diploma has work, the work often ends, leaving the person without work and applying to jobs again. let me be nice by saying that those without a high school diploma best have a GED. if 2 people are in line, and all things else are equal, the person with the diploma will get the job. good luck.

I am a Human Resources Manager. I work for a manufacturing company and this type of situation comes up quite often. Personally, I want both...a high school graduate WITH experience. If they do NOT have experience, but is a high school graduate, and are willing to learn and work themselves up, they have a better chance than someone who does not have a high school diploma.
