Is there any sort of wire or string that I could use instead of regular guitar strings? I'm working on a project and I want to use less than regular parts for a guitar (And there is no store selling them near me). Thanks!

For a fake guitar any kind of wire or string will do, for a playable instrument, go for wire in six thicknesses.
Or use elastic bands, not good for long term use, but they are often even pretty good tune-able.

If you use these substitutes on a real guitar you might hurt the guitar, so only do it on a cheap 'ready to throw out' guitar.
Many shops do stock guitar strings, so you might well be able to find some in a supermarket or general store near you.

Well, if it's not electric, you can use sinew. That's how it all started.

If it IS electric, you're pretty well hurting - unless you have access to a lot of fire, a nickel ore deposit (or brass), and something to make wire with. Then you'll be fine...

Acoustic strings can be made of nylon, steel string, cat gut (or really any gut, as long as it's long enough)... I bet you could use bulk piano wire or harp strings or cello strings...

Each will sound wrong, but all will vibrate. Even rubber bands do that.
