Me and my parents had a big argument over if Adolf Hitler was racist against Jews. I came to a belief that since Jewism is a religion, that Adolf was not racist on Jews, he just wanted to complete a genicide against them. So was Adolf Hitler racist against Jews or not?

Hitler gave African American Olympic Athlete Jesse Owens a personal gift when he won the Gold medal. Mainstream historians claim that Hitler did not give any acknowledgement to Owens. But Owens himself said that Hitler met him in private and gave him a baby Oak tree which he planted in his home state of Ohio.
Hitler did have a deep hatred of Jews and Slavs, but then again these people were white. Most leaders of Western countries were indeed racist, and by modern standards Hitler was very racist, but in reality he was no worse than leaders like Churchill, who was also extremely racist.
Franklin Roosevelt was also quite racist, and he forced Japanese Americans into forced detention camps during World War II.
Hitler gets put down constantly as a unique racist because he hated Jews, and Jews have power in the Western media.

It depends on the person saying it. Comparing Obama to Hitler is stupid, but not necessarily racist. Not to mention an insult to everyone who lost their life during the 2nd world war. But if some of the people saying it wouldn't say it about Hillary, or Bill, or any other white democratic president... then yeah, maybe it is. Certain opponents of Obama(not the majority), like to trade on a sort of fear where "ooh he's black, he's different from you, he must be your enemy. he must be workin for someone else". Where they couldn't get away with it if he were white. Every time someone here writes, "Barack HUSSEIN Obama" there's something a little racist about it.

Hitler's supposed long term goal was to wipe all non aryans out and have the new super human race take over with anyone else allowed to exist only as slave labor. Kind of the ultimate racist. Raciste primo!

From what I learned, he wasn't a racist, but a strong believer in everyone making their one race pure. Judaism is a religion and if he was racist, a lot of the German army would've not existed, seeing that there were lots of different races in the army. I'm not saying that he didn't hate certain groups, but that he was not racist, he was what you would say, "a hater."

Judaism is a religion, though based on an ancient tribe (the Hebrew people), and many Jews live in self-contained communities (especially Hasidic Jews). The Nazis were not the first to consider Jews a "race," but they carried this ridiculous idea to its horrifying extremes. Hitler believed that the German people were the pinnacle of the Aryan race (a mythological race that never existed in the first place), and that Jews, Slavs, blacks, gypsies, arabs (all semitic people as a matter of fact) were beneath the Aryan race. He is considered a racist due to his beliefs of the superiority of the Aryan race over other races (even if these so-called "races" were not races at all).

Hitler was in fact "Anti-Racist", and the majority of the leading National Socialist Party shared his ideals.

you can't be racist against a religion. race is usually defined by ethnicity/color of skin. jews are usually white

however, Hitler did not like the blacks. so for that reason he is a racist.

p.s. it's "Judaism", not Jewism
